Montana and it's Big Sky will never stop blossoming each new day into a new achievement that is begging to be captured. Its beauty and infinity are the fuel of my work. The strong texture and heavy strokes let the viewer fill in the detail with their own memories.
Ryan Brown is a self taught artist from Billings, Montana, and his passion for art started at a young age. He graduated from Skyview High School and has attended Montana State University in Billings. He and his wife Tracy have been married for over ten years and have two beautiful children.
As a child, Ryan was always a creative spirit. He would constantly be building and drawing his own art, gifts, and inventions. He was never one for traditional. That spirit is present now more than ever.
He is constantly trying to soak up the landscape, traditions, and spirit of Montana and of the west. Using acrylics thick and loosely, he makes organic shapes to create motion and texture, warm tones and bold imagery creates energy and power to radiate off the canvas.
Ryan has actively exhibited his work in galleries, festivals, and auctions around the country since 2008.
